However, these have been accompanied by risks and threats of fraudulent activities and other irregularities. Globally, the ability to prevent, detect and investigate financial fraud and other anomalies is a critical concern for FSPs and regulators. This is even more so because beyond loss of funds, the reputational damage that fraud can cause is even of greater concern.
The ability to obtain the right information at the right time and in the right manner is of utmost importance to any financial fraud investigation. Whilst some information may be easy to obtain, others are often difficult. This underscores the need for utilization of sophisticated and sometimes complex techniques in dealing with financial fraud. This course will equip the learner with knowledge and skills to be able to properly categorize issues, gather intelligence and apply the right techniques and processes in forensic examination, fraud investigation and identification of corrective measures.
